Prior to setting up an account connection to PFGBEST.com you must have installed NinjaTrader. Please review the installation guide for further instructions.

In order to set up an account connection to PFGBEST.com, you must have following logon/connection information provided by PFGBEST.com or your introducing broker.

• Account number
• Access key
• Order server IP adress and port number
• Quotes server IP adress and port number
• Historical minute data server IP adress and port number
• Historical tick data server IP adress and port number

You must have version 1.0.434 PFGBEST.com API client installed - Download

Configure NinjaTrader

1. Start NinjaTrader
2. From within the Control Center window, select “Tools > Account Connections...”
3. In the Account Connection Set Up window, press Add...
4. Follow the instructions provided in the Connection Wizard
5. As per the image below, enter the information provided by PFGBEST.com or your introducing broker
6. Complete the wizard
7. You will now be able to connect to your account via the Control Center window,
   “File > Connect” menu (CRITICAL: During your first connection to the PFG servers, you may have to permission the PFGBEST.com client application to access the internet. Your firewall will likely prompt you for permission and this dialog window sometimes gets lost behind other windows)

Important: OCO (one cancels other) orders for PFGBEST.com are locally simulated on your PC. This means that NinjaTrader must be connected to your broker in order for the OCO capability to function. If you are disconnected and one of the OCO orders are filled, the other WILL NOT be cancelled.

TRADING FOREX

• You must set the correct setting for the "Quote currencies (FX) in:" property accessible from withing the Control Center window menu Tools > Options > Misc.
• If your account is set up for Currenex then set the value to "HalfPip"
• If your account is not set up for Currenex then set the value to "Pip"
• Stop limit orders are not supported
• Only 1 level of market depth (level II) data is available unless your account is set up for Currenex in which case 5 levels will be available

PFGBEST.com Historical Data Servers

If you choose to use PFGBEST.com servers for historical data:

• Historical daily data for the current day will report a synthetic volume value of 1 since the PFGAPI reports it as zero
• Historicla tick data is limited to the last 96 hours
• We advise that you change your default chart look back settings as per the instructions below to ensure optimal performance

Start NinjaTrader and select the menu Tools > Options > Data Tab.

• Set the "Tick, Volume and Range" look back period to a value of "2"
• Set the"Minute Bars" look back period to a value of 3
