Default Zen-Fire data problem

Im having a problem, I can connect with Zen-fire on my laptop but I have no data feed for charts or anything, but I can get charts to build and dome data with simulated feed works fine. my desk top computer works fine with Ninja 6.5 and Zen-fire, my desk top OS is Windows XP but my lap top doesn't work with the same Ninja 6.5 and Zen-fire the only differance that I see is that my laptop is Vista OS, but my son's laptop has Vista and his Ninja works fine with Vista, I dont know what to do next to correct the problem?

Any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

ChonWayne

Hello Chonwayne,

Please verify the lower left corner of the Control Center remains green displaying "Connected - Zen-Fire".

If you open up a new chart on your laptop does the issue persists; you display a blank chart? Try repairing the database at Tools-->Options-->Misc-tab and check again.

Try opening a new chart in a new workspace and check if you display data in your chart.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.
  • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
  • Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
  • Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
  • Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date
