NTusers feel free to post suggestions pertaining improvement ofcharts in this thread. This is geared moretoward the sense of increasing basic fucntion and ease of use rather than requests for adding specific indicators.

I'll start it off with a few suggestions for charts:

"static" chart period - Abilitiy to select period visible on chart (i.e. 100 bars, 2 hours, etc.) So when you page up/down it the chart moves that specific increment. Currently the click/zoom/drag is hard to get the specific amt of data in chart window desired, especially if you zoom too far out and try to zoom back in a little bit.

Chart scroll bar - It would be a good idea to have a scroll bar at the bottom of the chart instead of having to use the mouse wheel to scroll back and forth through the chart

NT has made vast improvements over the last few years. My hats of to Ray and the rest of the NT staff.

I had a thread also called Charting wish list. Some of those were implemented, I am pleased to say.

I think the scroll button idea is a good one, particularly if you mouse wheel back in time then zoom in...to get back to the present time there is a lot of mouse wheeling one has to do. A horizontal scroll bar along th bottom would be a very handy tool.

My other wishes for version 6 would be

1. Gann Swing charts, based on different ticks and all ticks AN option in the properties box to select between line, OHLC bars, candles and Gann swings would be ideal.

2. Gann Fans

3. Bid/Ask Volume Depth indicator

For me, Gann swings would be the most desired. I have been unable to raise my win/loss ratio and profit factor to the levels I had when using a program that had Ganns swings.

cheers,

Antraman

I would like to add some more suggestions to this list.

1. Be able to draw a verticle line thru all the panels so I can see where an oscillator is at the same time as price.

2. Be able to link the crosshair between the same symbols - example on a 1minute chart the crosshair shows on the 5minute chart of the ES.

3. Have the option to draw the midpoint on the Bollinger Bands.

4. Add the Trix oscillator, Fib Bands and LRC-Linear Regression Curveas seen in Trade Station.

5. In the properties section, be able to set the distance between the horizontal grid lines - say space them 1 point apart - same for vertical grid lines.

6. Have a hot key to add text and chart markers. I love the hot keys to add lines, rays, etc. It saves so much time to be able to add them quickly to a chart.

7. The ability to use volume charts.

8. An indicator that allows you to create a horizontal line with inputs of your making. For example you could add several price levels to the ES chart say - 1266, 1277, etc. Currently if you aren't in this price grid you have to remember to add the lines when you get in the grid. Also I have a habit of accidentally moving the line when I don't mean to.

Thanks - I love Ninjas charts they keep getting better and better.

Re: > 3. Have the option to draw the midpoint on the Bollinger Bands.

Add a SMA, set it to the same period as your Bollingers, set price type to MEdian, and set as same cloour as your Bollingers, then save as template.

Does the same thing...

Re:> Here is a list of new indicators for NT6.

Wow...this sounds amazing.

I did add a ConstantLines indicator for V6. You are able to define up to 4 horizontal line values.

I heard that the new Version of NT may be released by the end of September, 2006. Is this true? If not, is there a specific target date for the release? Thank you.
