I didn't use my range bar charts for a few days and am wondering why the
charts make no effort to properly chart the last few days either premarket or regular hours ? For whatever number of days the charts weren't active , they simply draw a straight diagonal line of bars pointed up or down depending on the direction the market took . Minute charts will backfill OK ??? |

Hello,
Thank you for your post. Please right click your chart>Properties, and confirm that session ends and begins are set to 12:00 AM. If this does not help, please tell me who your data feed is. If you do not have access to tick data your charts will not populate properly with tick data. I have Interactive Brokers . I know it's not tick data ,but range bars do work
during live charting hours . |

Hello,
Yes, this is because you are recording real-time bar data: Tools>Options>Data tab -> Store real-time bar data is checked. Therefore, when you do not have your charts up, the charts will be empty.
