Default Velocity Futures. What do I need to trade with them?

I've just came across Velocity futures website. They advertise Ninja Trader. But I cant find much of information. I will surely call them on Monday...

But may be someone already knows - what do I need to use them to trade futures?

The main question is - does Ninja connect directly to their clearing services or do I need to buy another software (like X-Trader) to be an API wrapper for trading?

Thanks

It's very simple.

http://www.velocityfutures.com/index.php

1) Set up an account with Velocity Futures.
2) Download NinjaTrader.
3) Buy a license from NinjaTrader.
4) As you trade at least 100 contracts per month with Velocity Futures, they will rebate the cost of NinjaTrader. The rebate probably goes into your trading account.

You don't need X-Trader or any other software.

Thank you. I already have NT licence.

Can you please tell me what commission is applicable to NT users?

My trouble is there are two prices for non-members. For instance - ES contract - 5.73 with no software and 3.73 for X-Trader subscribers (I understand starting from $500).

If they can give us 3.73 then I am switching Monday morning. There is no questions.

I delete some posts that published incorrect rates for using NinjaTrader at Velocity. Please visit the Velocity website or contact a broker their for accurate commision rates and other account related information.

Is the TT settlement fee of $0.10 per side charged on top of what ever commission is paid to Velocity or would their commission include the charge?

Thank you.

It's on top of the commission. It's for the use of the Static DOM. However you might want to ask them how the TT royalty fees are incorporated.

Thanks, Vincent.

As a separate question...

I'm helping a friend who currently uses CQG for execution with his account at NewEdge (new broker from combination of FIMAT and Calyon -- http://www.newedgegroup.com/web/guest/home).

TT is one of the options at NewEdge, and he would like to switch to using NinjaTrader through the TT gateway. However, NewEdge doesn't directly support NinjaTrader. I called them to inquire about getting access to the TT gateway for him via Ninja, but I couldn't quite reach an understanding with the NewEdge person about what I am trying to accomplish. She wanted to know whether I wanted to connect to the TT FIX adapter at the server or the client (?).

At a technical level, how do I explain connecting via NinjaTrader to a broker who provides TT support? Again, they don't directly support NinjaTrader (like Velocity does), so they're not sure what I'm asking for in terms of accessing the gateway.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tell them you wish to connect a TT approved 3rd party product to their FIX Adapter...assuming they have one.

That's basically what I told her (I even quoted this press release http://www.tradingtechnologies.com/n...nerProgram.pdf). Apparently there is still information that she is lacking.

Are you available to talk to them by telephone? She offered to talk with someone at Ninja in order to determine what they need to do in order to provide connectivity.

Thank you.

Hi JangoFolly:

Please have her send an email to sales @ ninjatrader dot com and reference this post.

I will be happy to arrange a phone call with your broker.
