Text on horizontal lines?

This is probably a no-brainer for you veteran NT users...so bare with me.

How do you put text on horizontal lines? I have lines on my screen for my Support and Resistance levels. It would be nice to have text on them to quickly identify what line is what.

Also...is there a way to have a chart or box that i can type in my S/R levels and have them automatically chart for me?

Also...can I have these lines stay with the day I'm trading in? So when I scroll back through the days, I can see where the S/R levels were for that day?

Can anyone help me....please?

Hi Rocky Mtn Trader,

Take a look at the ConstantLines indicator. You can input values for your lines and it will plot accordingly. In regards to putting text to the line, please take a look at the DrawText() method.

How do I use the DrawText method? Where do I apply it?

What I really want is a chart or Indicator where I can type in all the S/R levels, the pivot points, open, close, etc... and it will plot all these lines on my chart with text on those lines.

IS THIS POSSIBLE ?????

Sorry, DrawText() is for programming. You would have to either use contant lines or draw lines at the price points you want and manually add text.

NT Ray...can I put text on a constant line when it plots on the screen?

IE,...If I put a line on the screen that is my pivot point, can the text read, "pivot" at the end of the line?

Each day I can change the value of the line and the text will still appear.

Is this possible??

I do not want to have to type the text each day

Yes if you create a custom indicator and program it.

Yes if you put on the indicator and then manually draw the text each day.

No if you are looking for an existing feature that does it for you automatically.
