Default MACD Crossover question

Hello,

How do I get a trade to fire on the MACD lines crossing over using the Strategy Wizard? I have got it to fire on the MACD lines cross above or below zero, but I need one for when either the Histogram cross above zero or the lines cross each other at OB or OS. Thanks.

Hi rmyrick,

Set it to indicator on both the left and the right side. On the left side choose which plot you want to cross and on the right you choose the target plot to cross.

When I open up the Condition Builder, and have MACD selected on each side, I do not see how to slect only one of the MACD Paramaters to test against only one on the other side. Say I only want to test the Fast MA on one side against the Slow MA on the other. How do I do that? Thanks again for your help.

When selecting an indicator, there is a "Plot" parameter at the bottom. Select the plot you wish to work with. MACD has three plots to choose from.

Thank you too Ray. I appreciate your prompt respones. One more quick question. If I have automated strategy running and it is set to Exit on Close, is that an open order or does it have fire off from my platform just prior to the close. Thanks.

It will close the strategy opened position X second prior to session close. X can be set under Tools > Options > Strategies.
