Default Multiple versions of .NET

I run a number of programs written for .NET. NT specifies .NET 2.0 and I have a couple that specify .NET 3.0. My computer currently has installed .NET 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5. Are the .NET programs such as NT "targeted" for specific .NET versions and will they recognize and use the appropriate .NET version or will I run into conflicts having multiple versions of .NET on my computer?

An unrelated installation question:
Also, when I upgade NT from one version to another do I need to uninstall the previous version or will the new install overwrite the older version?

Thanks

1) Having multiple .NET versions should *not* be a problem
2) No you do not, just run the installer.

Are there any problem debugging under Visual Studio 2008? (Currently I'm using 2003.)

We can't say if there are or not. We *just* received our copies of VS2008 and have not even installed them. I imagine there should not be a problem. I do know in VS2008 you can compile to different .NET run times and I am not sure if there is some switch needs flipping to when debugging with NT 6XXX for .NET 2.0.
