When I open a new range bar chart for any stock, the historical data is usually a useless series of smooth waves that often shows volume/activity/trades at the swing highs and lows, but none in the middle. As the charts continues to collect data real time, the range bars reflect the actual price and volume for each successive bar. Is there a way to eliminate the meaningless 'phantom' historical waves and get clean charts that represent true range bar action for the period? I am only selecting 2 days of data, so as not to burden the processing with the data intensive range bars. Thank you.

No, there is no way to remove the synthetic bars in range charts. By definition, our implementation is accurate. We realize some people do not wish to have synthetic bars created and we have this as an option that we may implement in a future version of NT.
