Default Plotting into the future

Hi,
I'm new to NT. I have a simple MA indicator that I need to one bar plot into the future.
Is there a way to do this?

Also, when I use the replay feature of NT --- is it possible to have this indicator display in the place where the unformed bar would be while the current bar is being formed.

Hello vsolv,
Welcome to the forum and I am happy to assist you.

You can set an appropriate value for the Displaced property to display the SMA in the future. You can apply it during Market replay too.

Thank you for the quick reply. I noticed that when I do a displacement, it shifts the indicator for all bars on the chart and this is not what I'm trying to get. I want the indicator to display as an overlay on the bar. So for the unformed bar, I want the indicator to show up where the unformed bar will show up.

Second issue unrelated to the displacement --- When I put a simple moving average on a chart why is it displaying the indicator up to the second most current bar on the chart?

Again, apologize for the newbie questions.

Hello vsolv,
Thanks for the clarification.

Please set Calculate on bar close to false from the indicators parameter pane so that the indicator calculates/plots the value for the running bar too..

Please let me know if I can assist you any further.

Joy. In the image you attached you circled the symbol in the upper right. (I know what it is and what it does but just don't know how to refer to it). It shows up when I leftclick in the chart, hold it down and pull the chart to the left. That is needed to make the displaced SMA line actually visible. Without pulling the chart to the left the displaced SMA line will not be visible. I tried increasing the right margin in the chart properties to avoid having to do this pulling but that does not do it. Is there perhaps another way so that I end up with the displaced/extended SMA line being visible but without having to manually move the chart over every 5 minutes or so? (Boy, I hope what I am asking for makes sense. Seems I could not figure out a more complex way to formulate my question. I do need that cup of coffee).

Hello sandman,
Thanks for your note.

Unfortunately it is a limitation as of now. You have to manually drag the chart to see the displaced plots. I will however send the feature request to development for future consideration.

Hello,
Please add me to the list of users waiting on this feature. It is a very effective way to plot Hurst's style FLDs (Future Lines of Demarcation). Thanks
