Default Test all futures toggether

Good morning,
I created a folder in the instrument manager with 5 symbols (ES-FDAX-FGBL-NQ) to do the tests, all furtures together. I do not take the historical data. I do the tests separately. Why?
You can not test with multiple futures, as I do with stocks?
Thank you.
Hello.

Hello Italy,
Backtest on a list of future instruments will also work fine. Please make sure "Get data from server" is checked in the options menu
  • In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Options>Data tab
  • Please make sure Get data from server (if available) is checked

Also please make sure you are subscribed for futures data with your broker/connectivity provider.

Please let me know if I can assist you any further.

Get data from server is OK.
I have uploaded on Ninja historical data for futures. The test works only with a futures contract at a time, taken from the folder default .
Ciao.

Hello Roberto,
To clarify, have you uploaded data using the import feature in Historical Data Manager? If so what are the file name for which you have uploaded the data.

I look forward to assisting you further.

I uploaded the historical data in Ninja (Historical Data-Import Manager). In the "Instrument Manager", I gave a name to each imported series.
For example, I loaded the historical data of the ES futures, naming ESBACKTEST.
I put the new futures (ESBACKTEST) in the intrument lists "Default". In this way I do the test, all OK.

Then, I tried to create a new instrument list "TESTFUTURES", where I put the file ESBACKTEST along with other such files. In this way does not read the historical data, I can not do the tests.

I wanted to do some tests simultaneously to multiple Futures!
Thank you.

Hello Roberto,
A file name ESBACKTEST will be imported in NinjaTrader as a stock and you have to manually change the ticksize etc parameters to make it compatible with ES.

You will still be able to backtest it. While backtesting please make sure you are not connected to your connectivity broker.

Please let me know if I can assist you any further.
