Yep the same greyed out can not connect to NinjaTrader data server, but its getting CQG price feed.
All day would not connect to CQG lets clarify which IP is NT histo server and which is CQG?
I have 208 IP connected in firewall receiving data in NT, yet I can not even ping it from cmd prompt.

72.232.148.211 layered technologies << NT HISTO???
64.208.51.249 level 3
208.48.16.200 level3

I can now ping all 3 of these IP's from CMD prompt, but still NT historical data will not connect in NT.

Hello,

This would indicate that your PC cannot reach the historical data servers. From your log tab, does it report you could connect to the NinjaTrader data server (208.48.16.130)? Are you able to complete a trace route to this server at this time?

Okay guys,

I'm pretty bad with my IT stuff. So if you need me to help in any checking, kindly give me a step by step guide so that I can follow.

If not, I'll wait to see if there are any updates here.

208.48.16.130 is the NT historical data server. 208.48.16.x is a range for the real-time data.

I can confirm that this server is live and operational. The only reports of connection issues are coming through these ISPs. I trust it is being worked on by the provider and full functionality should be restored as soon as possible.

It says It could not connect, and its giving me no historical data.
But yet in my firewall, it shows it sending and receiving data in real time.
Its like NT thinks its not connected but it is.

2012-05-03 01:44:20:727 ERROR: Unable to connect to NinjaTrader data server (208.48.16.130/31654): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 208.48.16.130:31654

Those IP"s are definitely sending receiving data in firewall, earlier they would send but only receive 0 not any more, yet NT still thinks its not connected.

Can you please post your tracert and ping output from the 208.48.16.130 server.

Hey guys,

Everything is working fine from my home. Historical data is loaded. 'reload all historical data' button is working.

Same ISP.

I presume everything is fine now?

No it is still not fixed it connects to CQG will not connect the 208 historical data so its useless.

If you feel there is an issue with your local installion, you can try reparing your connection:

  • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
  • Restart NinjaTrader
  • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

Then setup your connection to CQG.



However, members of this thread are the only users to report this today and indicates that this behavior to be regional.

Have you contacted your ISP?

Mike, can you give us your ping or tracert results from the 208.48.16.130 server for us to analyze?

The tracert times out at Singapore, but the question is, why im being sent through Singapore to get to the USA in the first place?
It has never been like that before it used to go from Sydney straight to California or Texas via Global Crossing.
Yes I have contacted ISP several times will contact them several more.

Finally fixed in the last few minutes it would really be nice if ISP or someone would tell me what exactly happened but of course they will not so I will look into changing ISP.
