Default Why can't I choose any instrument in FX Entry?

Hi, according to Help-->Acount, my NT is enabled for AdvancedStrategyManagement, AutomatedTrading, BasicEntry, Charting, SuperDom.

I am currently connected to the free forex.com feed. When I bring up the FX Entry window, the Instrument drop down menu is blank, and the Account selection tab is grayed out. I am not sure about the grayed out part, but not seeing any Instrument seems strange. Would you agree?

In the instrument dropdown you can just type in what you want. For example type in $eurusd

Thanks Josh, I tried typing in $GBPUSD in the Instrument box of the Fx Entry window, and that crashed NT after hanging for about 10~20 seconds. It didn't even give me a chance to dump the log...

Sorry, I haven't tried (afraid to try actually). I would be fine with not having FX Entry feature, if only I can specify stop loss from the main Orders Tab as I create the order.

I am tempted to try to upgrade to the latest release available, but on the other hand, I am afraid of losing my settings, and besides my laziness is starting to get the better of me. If I can just wait till 6.5 release, I think I will just bear with the inconvenience...

Add a currency instrument to your Default list in the Instrument Manager.

Thanks, Josh.

Surely, I had tried the suggestion before the previous post.

May the problem come from IB's paper account?

BTW,
I am hesitating to purchase a license because NJ crashed very often.

What version are you using? FX with IB is not supported in NT 6.0.1000.X. You must use NT 6.5 which is in beta.
