Hi,
I loaded a tick chart with eSignal and kept the application open for a few hours. The application always displays the same time as seen in the screenshot. Cheers |

Can you check the times of the bars based on the output from the Data Box also? Do they provide unique times for the bars or are they all stamped 00:23?

They do as in "yes they are timestamped exactly the same" or they do as in "yes they are timestamped differently"?
If the later is the case then I would come to think that that was just an extremely volatile time during the market?

Almost one day has gone by and the timestamps still read 00:23 on the 22 and 110 tick charts which is like 1 and 5 min intervals on the cable.

I don't know what to say. I can't reproduce on my end. Can you try closing the chart, reloading the data, reopening the chart?

I've got 3 charts for the same instrument open, 22t and 110t both display 00:23 for one day and the charts are definitely updating. The 240min chart is fine.
Reloading the historical data worked, it's a temporary workaround but not a fix for a bug. Using workarounds defeats the purpose of releasing betas, which is to find and fix bugs. If the bug persists, I'll let you guys know. Cheers.

Right Rollins. The purpose of the beta is to find bugs, but I can't reproduce on my end and unless there is a specific step-by-step instruction you can provide me with to reproduce there isn't much I can do except to try and see what can alleviate the problem for you at the moment. Thanks for reporting though.

The charts are stuck with the time from when I reloaded them now, the logs don't show anything. Unfortunately I can't provide any more information than that I am using eSignal and using GBPUSD tick charts for EFX(TDFX).
If I switch to bare charts without indicators the problem is still the same. |

I think I know the drill, but as far as I know the chart would not update if I had a future date set, which is not the case and NT 6.0 hasn't got a problem with my clock.

Sorry I don't follow. Are you saying you now set your PC clock correctly to current time and issue is resolved?

Not exactly, what I am saying is that NT doesn't care about the date as long as the timestamp on the saved data is not newer than the current system time. And in case it is, it does not plot any bars.I switched to NT 6.0 and my charts are just fine.
If you look at the screenshot it is clearly a bug, because it prints bars with the same time after the moment historical data has been loaded. |

Sorry I don't follow.
- just make sure your PC clock is NOT set to future and don't set it to future as you run NT - in case the data is inconsistent, try to reload from your provider by Tools->Reload
