Default range bar charts

Hi Ray,

I have a 5 min chart of the future ER2. All bars are displayed.
When I change this chart to a range bar chart (range=15) only a few bars are shown.
Is it possible to change charts with historical data to a range bar chart?

I'm not NT support, but I can answer your question.

Range bars are built with tick data, not minute data.
So you need a data provider that has a historical tick function

Try changing to a tick or volume based chart... see if they display a 'short chart' like the range bar does.

Are you on IB? Since IB does not support true historical data you are restricted to those ticks you recorded while connected.
