No, this is not possible since we do to connect to the X-Trader client application. Provided you have a demo at a broker that supports NinjaTrader/TT, you could ask them for a temporary trial to for NT/TT.

Thanks, but I don't understand your response. Are you saying that you can connect NinjaTrader to X_Trader for live trading, but you can't connect to X_Trader for demo trading? I know you can connect NinjaTrader to Interactive Brokers both live and in demo, so why can't you do that with X_Trader? |

Hello,
It is not possible to connect X-Trader to NinjaTrader in any way. What you can do, is contact your broker for account connection information for TT that works with NinjaTrader. Once you have done this, please follow the instructions in the link below on how to set up the connection. http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...chnologies.htm |

Thanks, Chris.
So, with regard to the X_Trader demo, does it make sense to request the following information from my broker? In order to set up an account connection to your Trading Technologies based broker, you must have received from your broker the following logon/connection information: Account Name(s) “Orders” server · Sender ID · Target ID · Password · Host · Port “Price feed” server · Sender ID · Target ID · Password · Host · Port |

For clarification...
Your broker must be able to support NinjaTrader connected through a TT infrascture using the TT Fix adapter. Ask your broker if they support this, if not, please send a note to sales at ninjatrader dot com requesting a list of supported NT/TT brokers who can provide you a free trial.

Both are partners and support NinjaTrader through Patsystems but unfortunately do not offer it through Trading Technologies.

Thanks, Ray.
So, let's see whether I get this straight: Rosenthal Collins and MF Global can provide the X_Trader platform -- AND -- NinjaTrader can be set up to work with the X_Trader platform -- BUT -- NinjaTrader cannot be set up to work with the X_Trader platform as offered by Rosenthal Collins and MF Global. Correct? |

Technically incorrect.
X-Trader is a front end platform (trading screen) from Trading Technologies. X-Trader connects into the Trading Technologies back end server known as Guardian. NinjaTrader can connect to the Trading Technologies back end. RCG and MF support X-Trader through Guardian. They do not support NinjaTrader through Guardian.

Thanks, Ray.
Bottom line: If I want to trade through Rosenthal Collins or MF Global -- AND -- use NinjaTrader, what are my options? |

Absolutely.
You can use it through their Patsystems infrascture. Just tell your broker you want to use NinjaTrader, they will set it up on their back end and send you some logon credentials. If you run into any walls, let us know and we can help.
