I like to change the commission that is automatically set in, which is $3.82 to get a better performance of myself while trading.

Could this be possible? Thanks...

You can change commissions per instrument in the Instrument manager.

I think I have put in my commission rate per instructions. I am charged $2.40 per side per contract traded. In the commission manager for the "Futures - Interactive Brokers" I have "2.4$ min; 0/0" When I run the performance manager I have commissions showing $0, $3.6, $.80, $4... Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Apparently you assigned the min commission on the trade. Not sure if you wanted to do that. You probably wanted to set up a $2.40 commission per contract.

The help docs hold a sample on how to set up commissions. Please take again a look.

Thanks

I didnt realize commissions set up in instrument manager along with those settings thru the Tools/Options/Commissions.............Is that why my performance manager shows Gross/Net Profit as same amount matching Cumulated Profitwith Commission correct (on the summary tab).

"IMPORTANT: If you are setting up a commission rate for futures and you have a single rate, you would enter one commission level with the commission value and the units set to zero." -commission tab

Dierk Droth,

Per above instructions I set my commision to "2.4$ min; 0/0" If this is wrong please tell me the correct way to set my commissions.

Thank you,

Clay

Do you want to setup
a) a fixed min commission for your trade (regardless of size) -> setup is ok
b) $2.4 per contract -> setup is wrong.

1) Remove 2.4 from the "Minimum commission" field
2) Where it says "No commission levels defined" put mouse into that field
3) A button "..." will appear, click on that
4) Then add a commission level with per unit value of 2.4 and units set to zero
