Ninjatrader 7.0 64-bit not connecting to Zenfire

I am US user and have uploaded the latest version Ninjatrader 64-bit 7.0.0.23

Unfortunately when I try to connect to Zenfire I get this message:

Login failed: Zen-Fire is not available in the 64-bit version of Ninjatrader. You must use the 32-bit version of Ninjatrader.

I tried creating a new connection and still got the same message.

Am I doing something wrong? I thought I would be able to connect to 64-bit Zenfire.

    Please advise

    PEDRO

From what I read, I thought that this was only an issue OUTSIDE the US

      Thanks

        Hello Pedro,

The thread specifies that NinjaTrader 7 users would be impacted. You mentioned that you were using NinjaTrader 7.

Actually the thread implies that only non-US NT7 users would be affected, since it's not possible to be a non-NT7 64 bit user of Zen Fire.

However, it's now two weeks, and not even an update. Could we possibly have one? I have a load of (beta) testing on hold because of this.

          thanks
          Dave

            Hello Dave,

Yes, you are correct - it only affects users outside the US and upon using Zen-Fire in 64 bit.

Unfortunately there is no update yet. We are still working on getting the issue resolved.

Once there is information, we will let you know at the forum thread below.

              Thanks Jason,

Who is doing the work - Ninja, Zen or both?

                dave1992,

Both parties are in contact on this issue. We hope to have more information and a resolution available soon.

Please keep an eye on the forum link NinjaTrader_Jason provided earlier for the update.

You hope to have information soon, and it's now 16 days with nothing??

It's difficult not to get the impression that non-US users are less of a priority.

We are working to solve the issue. As soon as there is news regarding the issue, we will let you know at the forum thread I included.

You can run Zen-Fire in 32 bit in the mean time. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

All users have the same priority - it just so happens that the issue is related to non US users only.

It's not so much that I can run 32 bit in the meantime, it's that my beta testing of the 64 bit connection is now delayed by weeks. Some of us have a business waiting to go live you know.

It's not very handy leaving the sticky thread in the historical archives, esp since this problem appears not to be a 'soon' fix and has no ETA, or did one of the release notes refer to this?

The resolution of this issue is outside of NinjaTrader code and in the underlying API we use for Zen-Fire. The developer of this API states that we will have a new version that includes a fix for this issue by mid December. Barring any unforseen issues, we would incorporate this fix in the next NT7 release shortly thereafter.

Thanks Ray. I still think the thread should be sticky here, or do you want non US Zen Fire upgraders to just find out while live trading?

By the way, what has price formatting got to do with specifically non-US users? Is it a problem just with commas in prices instead of a decimal point, or something like that?

                              Hello dave1992

Once the fix is in place NinjaTrader users will be notified. Once the issue has been resolved we will know more as to what the underlying complication was & will be able to relay that info as well.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
