Is there any way (such as oco) to have a backup for a simulated stop?
The issue is when I use a very tight stop loss sometimes it will go through my stop loss at the broker before it can be triggered by Ninja and added by the broker. I would like to have a simulated stop at one level and have a hard stop at the next level in case my soft simulated stop is not triggered quick enough. It will be able to catch any fall through if it is rising or falling like a speeding bullet. I think I can use OCO but I have to place 2 trades. One with a soft stop and one without any stop (the safety which will be a reverse of the buy/sell and same as the stop order) Any comments from the experts? I hope this makes sense. Regards ct |

Hi CT,
Thank you for your post. I understand what you are trying to say, but unfortunately this is something that can't be done. I will ask development if they can add this to the list of future considerations. Vince

Can i have a simulated stop loss entered at my entry price using an atm? I can move it by hand once placed but have to use a 2 click option as it wants to move my profit target to the entry price based on Ninja logic.

CT,
Yes, you can submit an order with a stop loss only and no profit target. Simply with the ATM Strategy set the profit target to zero. As for your Sim stop, this is possible as well. What I suggest is to attend todays session about ATM 1. The Simulated Stop will be covered in this class. The session starts at Noon Eastern and can be accessed through here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/tr...ine_events.htm Vince
