Hello heyligerb,

Thank you for your post.

There may be issues with your database. Use the following procedures in order to attempt recovery. Start with repair and if no improvement, run reset first, then rename.

Repair DB. (You will lose no custom items with this procedure)

Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
  • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
  • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
  • Select the "Misc" tab
  • Press the "Repair DB" button
  • Press the "OK" button
Reset DB (You will lose historical trade executions with this procedure)

Please follow the instructions below to reset the NinjaTrader database.
  • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
  • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
  • Select the "Misc" tab
  • Press the "Reset DB" button
  • Press the "OK" button
Rename DB (You will lose historical executions, chart data, and any saved strategy results)

To rename the DB:
  • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
  • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
  • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
  • Name it "NewNinjaTrader.MDB."
  • Then restart the software.

I even went a step further and uninstalled NT, deleted all the files on my PC, then reinstalled it, imported both historical data and the ninjascript, so this was just like a fresh install. Same problem still there...

heyligerb,

Is it only this specific strategy that runs into this issue? Are there any messages in the Control Center log eluding to an error occurring?

No, it does not appear to be specific to that strategy, it happens to others as well. However, it does not happen to all of them.

There is nothing in the log.

heyligerb,

To analyze this we will need your exact environment. Can you please zip up your Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5 directory and upload it somewhere like sendspace.com and shoot us an email with a link to where we can download it? Thank you.

Also, what version of NT6.5 are you on?

I've got the problem eliminated, so piece by piece I'm restoring my original work environment. That way I'll be able to tell what the problem is and I'll let you know.
