I am trying to setup a negative stop limit for the stop order but cannot get it to work. It just uses the default limit & executes the stop at the stop price. I think I have the strategy setup correct with SE checked, & simulated stop checked, and a negative Limit offset. Any suggestions?

Are you saying that the stop is not submitted based on the paremeters inthe entry tab at the time the order is places or the strategy you select does not correctly update the parameters in the entry tab?

The stop is not submitted as setup in the entry tab. The stop that is submitted to market is at my stop price but with the default stop limit parameters,2.5 ticks on ER I believe. It doesn't do a simulated stop with a negative limit order.

Do you mean your stop loss order?

Yes the stop loss order goes in as a stop limit order at my parameters with limit of 2.5 away from the stop price on ER2. I can't get the stop loss order to go in as a simulated stop limit order with a negative limit price.
I thought I had it setup that way on the entry tab on the dome with SE checked on entry tab, simulated stop checked on Stop tab, and a negative limit offset on entry tab. |

Now I understand. Stop loss orders can't have negative limits. You can have a simulated stop loss order if you wish, to enable this, check the Simulated Stop checkbox in the Stop tab.

gotchya, I have it doing what I want now. I leave my original hard stop order & put in simulated stop limitorder with negative limitabove it, for longs, that tries for a better exit unless hard stop gets hit.
thanks for your help. |
