I use MBT and IB for forex trading, however they have different pip sizes. MBT uses TenthPip, and IB uses HalfPip. My data comes from Kinetick, which is TenthPip.
When I try to enter a IB order I get an error if my order is not on a halfpip increment, which makes sense. My question; will it cause any problems if I change quotes to halfpip, even though my data from Kinetick and my MBT broker is in tenthpips? thanks. |

Hi astrolobe,
It should not make a difference if you use the Half Pip setting, because you are cutting off an additional unit from your chart display. I would recommend making that change since order submission on IB will be dependent on the quote prices in Half-Pip, even though data from your providers will offer additional increments of display data.
