    Daily data displacement

I manually imported some EOD data. the same was successfully imported by the Historical data manager (attached pic 1). but when loaded to chart the date gets displaced by one day. so 7/27/2010 becomes 7/28/2010 (attached pic 2).

again i have made an indicator which is supposed to draw a vertical line on the last thursday of the month. it works fine except for if the last thrusday also happens to be last day of the month. however it works (atlest the line is visible) if i subtract one (see line 52 and 53 in the attached indicator). i am not getting the logic. may be has to do something with the earlier issue.

    can you show some light.

    thanks in advance.

              Hello,

What time zone is this data exported from? It seems as though this data may have time stamps from the uninted states as they work fine on my PC. Please change the import time zone to EST and re import the data and let me know if this resolves the issue.

the data is not exported from NT but have been sourced from a free internet source and has been formatted as per directions in the help file. and since its EOD data it has only the date and no time-stamp (again as per directions in the help file).

i did what you said (i.e. changed the timezone to EST and re-imported the data) but sadly things are still that way. i also changed the timezone of my PC to EST and tried all possible permutation combination to no avail.

let me add, the Historical data manager shows the date correctly. it is in the chart that the date gets displaced.

                regards..

                  Hello,

Ok its seems this is occuring most likely due to the session template of your chart.

Please change the session template of the chart to another session template besides default 24/7 or default 24/5. As the time stamp that is used for a daily bar is the ending time stamp of the session and on a 24 hour chart that will be the next day thus showing the 28th in your case.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

                    yes that seems to work.

however let me add here, if i add any of the default session manager template (for example US Equities RTH) it still wont work. the magic lies in which timezone in the session manager template. so i created a custom session template and set the timezone (in the sessions manager) to my local timezone, and everything worked accordingly.

the indicator is also working fine.

thanks Brett for your time and the excellent support.

                    regards
