Hi Support,
I tried to open an ES daily chart in Ninja(with IB datafeed). But it shows datas only till June end or so and then it jumps to today. It does'nt display data for like entire July/August. How can I make it download data for August. Is there any option to backfill data from July and August. Thanks RK |

Hello:
Thank you for your post. IB only offers historical daily data for traders who have a live account. If you have a live account, then, while connected, go to Tools > Historical Data > Reload and select your instrument. Then, shutdown your chart and open a new chart. Choose in your Format Data Series, the number of days back to look and open a new Chart. Do you now receive daily historical data for this instrument? Best regards,

Thanks for reply Ryan. Yes, I have an IB live account. And I know IB datafeed is reliable for daily charts, as I know others who are using it.
When I try this to reload data for ES for past 1 week,..I get an error which says " NinjaTrader has reached an IB limitation for historical data requests. IB may reject all historical data requests for the next five minutes. Historical datarequest pacing violation" I also tried reload after sometime and it is giving the same error. Also when I open say ES daily chart, and it gives a small window saying "Loading data" and it starts from 6/30/07 and backwards to say Jan-07. Why is it not starting to load data from today 8-29-07? Do you think , may be some thing is wrong in the configuration. Please advise how to proceed to get back daily charts. I appreicate your time on this. Thanks RK

Hi RK:
Thank you for replying. IB has a server reset period each night at about midnight U.S. time. Please do this, restart your pc (if you have not already) and then only launch TWS and NT. Connect and then open your daily chart. Do you receive the data or are there errors present? Best regards,

Yes, I tried closing IB and NT,restart PC. It filled data till like August first week only, there is still missing data from like Aug 6th to today. Please advise how I can get this data. I am not sure why this is happening that I am not able to view good daily charts with IB feed, because I know people who are getting excellent Ninja daily charts with IB feed.
