Exclamation Help!

Message:
"Login failed: Unable to initialize API: Configuration failed: File C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My documents\NinjaTrader 7 \bin\Fix\FixSettings.txt not found"

but file exists...

Hello bloshka,

Thank you for your post.

Please send your Log & Trace files for the effected dates & just include them as a normal attachment to your email. Send them to support AT ninjatrader DOT com

You can find these in the (My) Documents folder at the file path:
1. NinjaTrader 7 > Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt
2. NinjaTrader 7 > Log > log.YYYYMMDD.txt

You can attach these text (.txt) files to your response/email. Please make sure to reference this forum thread in your email.

Default new thread??

this may be a silly question, but how in the world do I post a new thread (not reply to one) on here?? Ive looked through every link, why is this so complicated??

and my most important question: once a backtest is initiated can it be stopped? (other then terminating NT7 from task manager?)

Hello nightriderx,

Thank you for your post.

In order to post a New Thread you will need to register & log in to the Support Forum.

Then locate the section that your new post will relate to.

When you’re logged in, you will then have access to a button entitled “New Thread” (see screenshot)

Please post this backtesting question in the appropriate section of the forum.
