Default "Performance" Definition

What is the definition of the "Performance" column in the Optimizer and how do you suggested it be used?

MLurski, during optimizations, the performance column represents the parameter you are trying to optimize. For example, in the optimize section, if you set "Optimize on" to max profit factor, the performance column would show the profit factors. Likewise, if you set it to optimize max net profit, the performance column would show the net profit.

You can use it however you want. Generally, you would want to maximize any value in the performance column.

Profit factor - This value is the profit generated by profitable trades divided by the losses generated by losing trades. A value of 2 would indicate that twice as much money was made from winning trades than was lost from losing trades.

For a numerical example: if your strategy generated $2000 in profit and $1000 in losses, the profit factor would be 2000/1000 = 2.
