Hello pgabriel,

Thank you for your post.

Please provide me with an image of the code window showing this error so that I may further advise.

To take a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach the file to your next response.

Hello pgabriel,

Please take the following steps:
  • Right click in the code window and select References.
  • In the references menu, select the existing reference to 'NinjaTrader.dll', then press delete.
  • Next, press the Add button to load a window where you will select the file to reference. The file you need to add a reference to will exist at the following path: C:\Documents and Settings\Paul Gabriel\My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\NinjaTrader.dll
  • After adding the reference please recompile.

Hi pgabriel,

I think that the NinjaTrader.dll reference would be one of the last two in that list. You will need to expand the window to determine which of the two it is.

Hi pgabriel,

I notice that the file referenced in the error message is actually 'jtNinjaTrader.dll'. So, this looks to be a missing component of a custom assembly.

Does the JT portion of this ring any bells with you?

Hi pgabriel,

That may be. When you installed version 7, did you migrate settings over from version 6.5?

Hi pgabriel,

Please take the following steps:

  1. Close all running applications.
  2. Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
  3. From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.
  4. Then manually delete the folder "NinjaTrader 7" located under Start --> My Documents.
  5. Delete any NinjaTrader installation files. This can be done by going to Start --> My Computer --> Search button --> search for (NinjaTrader*) --> select Local C Disk and then press search.
  6. Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
  7. Reboot your machine.
  8. Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below:
    http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/download_trading_software.htm

When starting NinjaTrader 7 for the first time, you will be prompted to migrate your settings. Please select 'No' on this prompt.
