Default Woodies pivots

Hello everybody,

can you tell me why the pivot levels are not identical across different time frames? I was looking at a YM 1 minute chart and a YM 15 minute chart and the S1 levels were a few ticks apart.

Thanks

Just a note. Also an issue on the regular pivots (non-Woodies). I'm looking at the ER2 09-07 charts (2584 volume and 4181 volume). Timeframe of 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Daily pivots on this chart seem OK but weekly pivots are definitely not the same. Other charts the daily pivots are different. Seems to be something new introduced with the new pivot enhancements.

Hello rally7,

the problem with the different looking pivot indicator on charts with different time frames is solved and the solution will be available with the next release of NinjaTrader.

Thanks for reporting,
Christian

Hello Greg1,

I tried to reproduce, but i wasn't able.

You mean that the weekly pivots indicators on 2584 Volume bars on ER2 09-07 charts (from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM) look different to them on a 4181 Volume bars on ER2 09-07 chart (from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM) ? Right ?

Can you please send two screenshot of those both charts with the different looking indicator lines ? Please to christian ADD ninjatrader DOT com.

Thank you,
Christian

Hi Greg !

Also here the solution, as we both figured out:

In case of pivots, make sure that the time frame you reference with the pivots is covered with data. E.g. If you use the monthly pivots, the whole (pre-)month have to be filled with bars. Otherwise it can lead to different min and max values, and that leads to wrong calculation of the pivots.

Kind regards,
Christian

Default Remove price markers

I would like to remove price markers for Woodies Pivots R1, R2, S1 and S2, leaving only the Pivot price marker. I tried: Control Center; Tools; EditNinjaScript; Indicator; but did not find a Woodie's Pivots.
Please inform how to achieve this, if it is not too difficult.
Thanks

In the indicator dialog window (when adding an indicator) select the WoodiesPivots, on the right side, set the propery "Price markers" to a value of false.

Default Remove price markers

Ray,
When I choose "false" for price markers, all are removed. I am trying to keep the price marker for the pivot point.
