Default Memory Use

Hello,

It seems as if the amount of memory that NT uses constantly increases throughout the day until my pc has none left and I have to reboot to get it working again.

Thanks

I have 4 charts open all symbol linked. The only indicator I have is volume. Yesterday I also brought up a market analyzer window but I have closed that window because it kept crashing on me.

tommyjames,

What are the period types used on these charts? Tick charts? Minute charts? etc. and how many days back are you using? Thanks.

tommyjames,

Can you please attach your workspace that you are using? Also, how much RAM do you have on your machine? Thank you.

2 gigs of ram

Now these charts won't load, they are just blank saying "loading data" as I connect to ameritrade.

We tried your setup for a couple of hours and NT did not use more than 100MB RAM which is expected.

I guess I will have to wait for the next version. I have tried it on multiple PCs now with the same results.

Likely nothing will change since we have not reproduced any issue.

Hello NinjaTrader Forum

I use NinjaTrader 64-bit 7.0.0.14 (BETA) in conjunction with Windows 7 64-bit.

Since about 3 hours there is a data download running. Historical Data Manager -> Download; Time Series 01.01.2000 until today. Approximately 3000 Symbols. Minute and Day data. It’s the first time backfill. The memory usage is actually at 2.9 GB. Still increasing. The screenshot is 15 Minutes old.

It seems the memory problems of NinjaTrader are not resolved.
