Default Cannot run after reinstall

I did a windows "system restore" and found I was unable to run Ninja. Undid the restore, back to today but still unable to run Ninja. Uninstalled NT, reinstalled NT and get this message:
Unable to connect to database 'Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;User ID=Admin;Data Source=C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\\db\NinjaTrader.mdb': ObjectSpace:Connection String is Invalid - Could not load file or assembly 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Please help!

Thanks, Michael

Hello,

First try this:
Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
  • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
  • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
  • Select the "Misc" tab
  • Press the "Repair DB" button
  • Press the "OK" button
If that doesn't work:
Please rename your database.
To rename the DB:
  • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
  • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
  • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
  • Name it "NewNinjaTrader.MDB."
  • Then restart the software.
If that didn't work, let us know. There may need to repair you Jet database and/or your .NET framework.

Thank you for your reply.
Neither of your suggested actions was possible.
1) Ninja will not start up. The error message beginning "Unable to connect
to database 'Provider=Microsoft.JetOLEB.4.0....." appears almost
immediately, followed by other error messages and will not proceed past the
"Loading custom assemblies..." startup window.
2) "My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB" does not
exist. I can get as far as "My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB" then the
contents are: data (empty); expert (empty); import (empty); NinjaTrader
Office Access
I have uninstalled / reinstalled several times, including on a different
drive, with no success. Have uninstalled the files in "My Documents" as well
as main program file.
It was running perfectly before the "system restore" action.
Very frustrating...

Default Fixed

It was the Net framework, which must have been corrupted during the system restore. All is now well & NT is working fine.
Thanks again for your help, and the prompt (weekend) reply.

Hello gerald560,

While NinjaTrader is closed, uninstall .NET Framework up to version 2.0. Start with the latest version first (3.5 - 3.0) until you reach version 2.0. Do not reboot your PC. You can uninstall .NET Framework via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs (XP), Programs and Features (Vista).

Download and install .NET Framework 2.0 at the link below.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You can choose to re-install later versions as well.

.NET 3.0
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

.NET 3.5
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Start NinjaTrader and check if the error persist.
