Default Symbol mapping for OSE

Hi, i have some problems mapping OSE nikkei and mini nikkei to NT. I should not have any problems mapping these 2 contracts to NT right? I am currently using Pats to connect to NT and i can view other popular contracts such as CL and GC live prices.

Are the symbols very different? I tried to reset the symbols (under instrument manager) to what i got from my broker but to no avail.

Hello Finrod,

Unfortunately the Ose exchange is not supported with NinjaTrader - Patsystems.

Hi, you mean that even if my Pats system does provide exchanges such as OSE, HKex and SGX, i cannot get these prices in NT? Does that mean NT doesnt support these exchanges?

The Hkex exchange will be supported in NinjaTrader 7.

Hello finrod,

I will forward your suggestion to support the Ose exchange with Patsystems to our development team and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations for the software.

Can we have a list that shows for PATs which exchanges are supported in NinjaTrader and for which version.

Can we have a similar lists for X_Trader and IB ?

Hello,

You can add any exchange you want to NT, provided your data provider supports it. This may help:

Assigning an exchange through Symbol Mapping:

Exchanges not listed in the Definition tab of the Instrument Editor can easily be added within the Misc tab.
In the Symbol Map section of the Misc tab, enter the exchange using the following format:

‘Symbol|Exchange’

For example, in the case of PATSystems some users are setup to trade the emini Russell (TF) using the ICE_NYBOT exchange. Since this exchange is not listed in the Definition tab, it would be added to the Misc tab’s Symbol Mapping section as ‘TF|ICE_NYBOT’ (see attached)

Please let me know if you have any questions.
