Question Missing Instrument in Instrument Manager

I am trying to create a new Instrument List but I am unable to find a certain Instrument (Stock).
The symbol is AONE.

I start NinjaTrader.
My workspace is open.
I connect to Yahoo.
I select Tools -> Instrument Manager
I then search for AONE and see nothing.
I can find others.
I look on www.yahoo.com/finance and I can see the stock symbol.

Could you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hello TazTrader,

Thank you for your post.

The instrument is not in the NinjaTrader database. You can add the instrument to the NinjaTrader database by typing the symbol into an open chart.

Unhappy Missing Instrument in Instrument Manager

NinjaTrader_RyanOlson,
I am having to add a large number of instruments to the NinjaTrader database. When I look at the available instruments there are only 578. Is that correct? In the manual it states that you can add instruments but you probably won't need to?

Please help

Hi TazTrader,

I can not put a specific number on the available instruments as it may change depending on the type of data your provider offers.

As for the instruments available pre-loaded they are the most commonly traded futures contracts, stocks and currency pairs.

However, it is possible to import symbols for a large number of contracts. Please see the following link.

Additionally, if you open a chart and type in the symbol it will be created and added to the database if not already present, which makes adding stock symbols very quick.
