Default Chart Trading with Buy Stop/ Sell Stop orders

Hello,

I use Chart Trading ( Buy Stop/ Sell Stop) orders with IB as the broker.

I would like to have a bracket order attached when I submit an order from the chart. I have a fixed profit/stop targets.

I tired using the ATM strategies to do this, bit it seems that it holds the stop/profit order until the parent order triggers. I don't want to do this because I have to keep my connection on all the time.

I'd like to submit my orders from the chart for the day and disconnect and let IB servers handle the rest.

I'm not sure how to do this with NJT. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hello tschalli27,

Thank you for your note.

One way to do this would be to use an OCO order. Please see the following link for more information: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/v...ead.php?t=6197

thanks for the update. I believe the link is for "open" orders.

Since I'm working with (buy stop/ sell stop) orders, my orders aren't open yet.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

So, in that case, you would want to withhold those orders from the market until you enter in to the position?
