in 6.5 maximizing a chart showed more bars with the same spacing
in 7 maximizing results in the same number of bars with wider spacing personally, when I maximize a chart I want to see more time/bars....not a bigger image of the same chart....i.e. I prefer the old way in 6.5.... I find the new way annoying as I not only have to maximize the chart, I also have to adjust the time scale...every time I max/min the chart perhaps you could poll the preference of beta testers?

When I maximize my charts I get more bars showing up on the left just like in 6.5. Please clarify. Thank you.

chart 1 is original small size and shows 9 bars
chart 2 is maximized full screen and shows only the same 9 bars (only took pic of 3 bars as full chart would be to big to upload...note spacing) chart is original small size chart with left margin dragged to the left....still same 9 bars only wider spacing of course the same issue exist in the opposite direction...i.e. you have a full screen chart with 100 bars....you minimize to half the size and you still have 100 bars compressed into half the space.... so you need to adjust the time scale every time you adjust the chart size

Please switch your equidistant chart property to true and try again.

Objects are not saved per se. If you close a workspace with objects still on the chart they will show up next time. If you close the chart they are gone. The only time objects are persisted is when you set them to be global draw objects. Then they will actually be saved and will show up on any chart of the instrument.

thanks for that....sorry I asked wrong question
how are draw object defaults saved....e.g. border color for rectangle or color of arrow line I do not see a consistency here....so I save the chart prop default, the ind set and the workspace....i.e. shotgun approach |

When you draw an object onto the chart, double click on the object to open its properties menu. There should be a button to save default there. Next time you draw that object type it will use those defaults.
