Hi,

Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.
  • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
  • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
  • Select the "Misc" tab
  • Press the "Repair DB" button
  • Press the "OK" button
Let me know if this corrects your issue.

Hi,

Can you rename the NinjaTrader.Old.MDB file in the following folder: Start menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB folder. Name it NinjaTrader.MDB.

Then restart the software and connect. Now see if the error persists on loadin YM chart data. If it does, repair your database again and see if that corrects.

If this doesn't solve the issue, cut and paste the NinjaTrader.MDB file to a location outside of the NinjaTrader 6.5 folder and restart the software. This will give you a complete new database, however you would still have the old one available if you want use it again.

Hi,

A new and fresh database has been created. You've lost all settings, strategies etc from the old database. However since you have copied the old database to a location outside of the NinjaTrader 6.5 folder, you could still access it by adding the old database back.

The old one was corrupt, the new one should not give you these errors.

No, I am sorry...I mean the old db. You suggested that if I needed to, I could use the old db. the question is why would I do that if it generates an error for me?

Thanks!

Yep, was incorrect there. Better not to use it.
I was under the impression that you were still using everything else with this DB and since it contains settings you should have to set up everything again. But it's better to use the fresh one and set up everything new. Sorry for the confusion.
