Default Esignal GTIS forex data feed tick volume with NT7

Hello Admin. I have a question regarding Esignal forex GTIS feed when using the tick volume indicator. As we all know, on the current version, there is a limit to the maximum height of any volume bar that will show up for any bar. I heard that witht the new NT7, that limitation will be removed so that when I plot, let say a 60 min forex chart with Esignal GTIS forex feed, i will not see anymore limitation on the height of any volume bar.

Is that correct? As I am using Esignal GTIS forex feed with NT, I really need that there is no more limitation to the height of the volume bar.

Also, for the Esignal forex fee using the volume indicator which represent tick volume. How does the calculation is made? When I look the current 5min chart and looking at GBPJPY moving, when i see the bid moving up and down, i dont see that the volume bar count increase of 1 each time price move in the corresponding bar.

Is the tick volume not calculated on every tick move of the current candle associated with it? It seems to not be the case. If that is so, how does is calculated the tick volume count for the volume indicator when using esignal GTIS forex data feed with a spot forex chart in NT?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello shreem,

That is correct; volume values larger than 2.147 million are supported in NinjaTrader 7.

Default Thanks a lot

Hello Jason. Thanks a lot for your fast reply. Do you have any idea when I will be able to use NT7?

Also, do you know how does the tick count of the volume indicator is been calculated when using the Esignal GTIS forex data feed when plotting let say a 5min char and the volume indicator. It seems that when looking at the current volume bar increasing, it does not increase of 1 as every time price move up or down.

Thanks a lot in advance and much appreciated the support

The beta version is expected to be released the end of the month.

You can check the code of the VOL indicator via Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator and double click the VOL indicator.

It seems that when looking at the current volume bar increasing, it does not increase of 1 as every time price move up or down.

I suspect you confuse a tick interval with a volume interval. If price moves up (or down) one tick, it will not cumulate a volume bar by one; it would cumulate a tick bar by one.

Default tick volume

Hello Jason, Again thanks for your fast reply. I understand what you means about tick volume and volume itself. But in spot forex, as true or contract volume does not exist, the volume bar been displayed on the forex spot chart when using volume indicator is tick volume. In that case, every time a candle move up or down (which represent every tick) would need to be reflected in the count of the volume bar itself and increasing it of 1 as this volume bar is nothing else but a volume represensation of the tick increased in price.

Also, is there a way to get a volume indicator where current up volume candle will be 1 color, if next volume bar is less than previous volume bar another color and finally if current volume bar is less the 2 previous volume bar, another color.

So, there would be a total of 3 colors displayed in the volume indicator. As i am not a programmer at all, is there a way that can be done?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hello Shreem,

Unfortunately such an indicator is not supported by default. You would need to create a custom indicator yourself or contact any of the supported NinjaScript consultants at the link below.
