Default Limiting data in charts

Hello,

Is there any way to limit how much data is displayed on the charts. I only want to see current session but the charts keep data for many sessions of previous activity. Going to properties and limiting historical data to 1 day does not do anything.

Thanks,
redduke

Hello Reduke:

Thank you for your post.

Within your charts, go to Properties > Session begins and Session ends times and set to when the market is open according to your local pc clock time. (i.e. for US Eastern time, set to 9:30am for begins and 4:15pm for ends times).

Also, if you wish to limit the amount of days back, from the Control Center, go to Tools > Options > Data tab and uncheckmark 'Store Real time bar data'.

Best regards,

Hi Ryan,

I think this is the same issue I am experiencing.

Let's say a user is in the Eastern Time zone trading on HKF exchange. And the user does want historic data saved, just not displayed on the chart. The logical thing to do is to set the Session Start and Finish from 9:45 pm - 4:00 am. Chart is set to go 1 day back.

Why wouldn't that display correctly?

Thanks, nVladik

We do not support session times that span across two calendar days. This is on our list for future enhancement. You need to set the session times within one calendar day.

Thanks for the reply Ray,

Default settings are 12:00 am to 12:00 am. Doesn't that span across multiple days?

Not it does not, that is a 24 hour session time.
