Hi. When I use the BarColor function to customize bar colors, the candle outline and the shadows (wicks) adopt the candle body color definedbyBarColor. The BarColor examples in the documentation imply that the wicks should keep the color defined in the table properties, regardless of the candle body color.
Thank you. Regards, |

Correct, wick color adopts the bar color. This was changed many moons ago, the image in the DOC is not reflective of actual behaviour.

Thanks. Are there any plans to change it back, or to create a new function with which one can change the outline color?

Not at this time. The reason is, on a bar where there is no candle body (only wick), the bar color would then NOT be affective which is why it was changed.

Understood; however, with a light candle on a light background it's very hard to see the wicks.
Thanks for the follow-up. Regards, |

Actually, I also prefer the dark outline on the candles. I wish that we had the option to select that feature when using BarColor. I prefer it the way that it appears in the documentation because I prefer the dark outline to the candles and the dark wicks. It does a better job of defining candle edges and wicks. Thanks.

I don't suppose there is a way to dynamically access the Candle outline color property that appears under the Data Series section in the Chart Properties window. This would seem to be a solution to this problem.

Hello,
Isn't there a possibility for changing the outlines candles without changing the wicks color? Jojotrader |
