Default Viewing HK Exchange Symbols

I am using eSignal for my HK exchange data feed. eSignal loads HK exchange symbol with a -HKG at the end of the symbol. E.g. 2827-HKG.

But when I type this into "Instrument" of the NT Chart, it gives me an error of "Invalid instrument name."

I then went into Instrument Manager to create a new instrument before the symbol will load correctly.

I am wondering if there is an easier way to load all those instrument of foreign exchanges automatically instead of creating a new instrument for every single symbol manually?

Hi,

If you have list of instruments you should be able to import them.

Please see here for more info:

I have the list of instruments, however I need to append -HKG to the end of the instrument at eSignal space in the Symbol Map in order for it to correctly load. Do I have to do this manually for each instrument? And the desciption as well, do I have to key for each instrument individually?

Hi,

Yes, unfortunately this needs to be added manually.

That could be a few hundred symbols to be done manually.
Would something easier be implemented in the upcoming new version of NT?

Unfortunately not. I will forward your suggestion to our development team and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations for the software.

Thank you for your feedback.
