Default BackTest Data

Can you explain to me why when I go to backtest RIG NYSE with my IQfeed data it keeps giving me an error message and will only show me 5 days of data even though I am asking it to show May 1 to June 30? I just repaired the data base and it didn't change anything.

Hello pistolpete,

Can you please tell me what the error message exactly states.

Please create a chart that contains the same amount of historical data and check if all data is present.

What steps are taken when backtesting the RIG? Is the RIG listed on your default instrument list and you initiate the backtest from there. Or do you backtest 'on the fly'?

it says "error on loading chart data for 'RIG' Default': !ERROR! Unknown Error"
I try to create a chart but it wont load the data and gives me the same error message. I initiate the back test out of one of my lists that I have created with the strategy analyzer.

Can you please manually add the RIG to your default instrument list in the Instrument Manager.
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...eFromList.html

Make sure both the Default and Nyse exchanges are enabled. Highlight the RIG in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit.

Select the RIG from the default instrument list in the Strategy Analyzer and check if the issue persists.
