Sorry, Due to complaints from someone in a chat room regarding this formula I decided to yank this indicator. Some people think that because they talked about the formula then they own it. I do not wish to start any wars over some indicator so I decided to delete it from here.

The Shadow,

Thanks for the DDF script - Would it be possible to have the "Time" editable when applying the script so that it can be changed for other markets ??

Eric

I am working on that now. Having a bit of trouble with the ToTime method but once I get it working I will post an update which will allow you to change the opening time for whatever market you are trading.

I have added the modification to the indicator. You can now set the hour and minute for the time the market you are trading opens. Make sure to set the minutes in 5 minute increments, i.e. 0,5,10,15,20,25,30, etc.or it won't work right on a 5 minute chart. The default settings are 9 and 30.

The attachment is updated in my original post.

Regards,

Matt

Does anyone have a working version of this indicator for 6.5?

It sounds very interesting, unique and useful.

I'm not sure what the original version posted on this thread was like, but here is one I put together a while ago.

The Start_Time is the session start you want to use, the Delay is how long you want it in minutes to gather data to decide direction, the Percentage is the movement up/down for it to be considered to have chosen direction, the TickRange is the number of ticks of movement up/down that it must move to decide direction, even if the Percentage requirement is met.

Default Oddity

yes I couldn't get it to function properly either?
Seems to give a line but other times it gives one line from days ago and hangs on to it - v strange.
If I get the time I might have a dig into the code to see where I might be going wrong.

Default Chart properties

This indicator requires a bar to print BEFORE the start time ie if your start time is 1430 on a 5 min chart your session time needs to be 1425 minimum.
I have only tested this on futures contracts and NOT in real time (its a weekend).
