Default Lag when clicking order entry SuperDOM

Sometimes when I click to enter an order or maybe even close out everything or cancel an order on SuperDOM, the system freezes momentarily.
I have run some other intensive, similar setups on this same PC.
What is usually the limiting factor causing this?
Bandwidth, data feed, memory, etc.?

Thank you

That does not help.
I do not need the novice answer.
It is an odd problem, seemed like it might have been related to high vol times and thus data feed but not sold on that idea due to when it occurs and how long the freezes are.

During high volatility, NinjaTrader will use more resources. NinjaTrader will receive much more incoming ticks, which requires more resources to process the data.

You will need to reduce total resource request of NinjaTrader.

I have the same problem. This is a real issue with Ninja Trader as I do not have this problem with any other brokerage platforms. I was told the same answer. I use Vista Ultimate 64 with a brand new computer with 8 gigs of ram and Zen + NT hangs all of the time. It has cost me a lot of money.

I really like Ninja Trader and I did buy the lifetime license but it is getting to the point where it is just unusable. Supposedly NT 7 will be 64 bit compatible. I'll have to wait for that.

Also, the answer that everbody gives me is that it is my fault for using 64 bit Vista in the first place.

I think this is a pretty bogus answer. A lot of people have switched to Vista 64 and there is a huge market for vista users.

I downgraded to 6.5.1000.8.

I don't remember having as many issues with 8.

I agree - 6.5.1000.8 was much more stable than 6.5.1000.9

Ninja Trader has become totally unusable and unsafe for trading on my computer. I can't figure out why this is happening. The refresh rates on Ninja are really terrible, thus creating the lag

I have a fiber optic internet connection. Zen Fire is very fast and I'm using that feed into multicharts with no lag or delay.

The lag/delay with Ninja is exclusive to ninja. What' I'm experiencing is that the program will severly hang and sometimes is completely unusable. The refresh rates can be very slow. For instance, if I'm using the Superdom and I hit the space bar to freeze the prices, the yellow background on the superdom can take a long time just to turn yellow, somtimes upwards of 30 seconds.

So this is certainly not an internet connection issue

Could you please apply some of the tips in the link in post #13. Reduce the resource request of NinjaTrader in total. Check for workspaces running in the background, check the 'Calculate on bar close' setting for your indicators, reduce historical data, etc.

Check if the issue persist.
