Default How does Ninja make 3 day charts / EMA's

In each 3 day chart the brown or dashed line is the 34 EMA . It would have
been a trading signal on the Ninja chart ,but which chart is right or how does
Ninja figure MA's on the 3 day chart ?

Hello T2020,

Different data feed providers can have discrepancies in their data, please see the link below for more information.
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ChartBars.html

Different data will cause different SMA values as well.

You can go to Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator and double click the SMA indicator to check how the SMA is calculated.

From your links , it looks like your 3 day chart is build from daily bars and I'm
sure the same is true of the other vendor . That's quite a discrepancy . Looks
to be 5 points or more . This doesn't really provide an answer . Without an
expert on both software's , there probably isn't any .

If you have time , could you post a 3 day chart of SPY using esignal ,with a
34 EMA on it ? I would like to see if there's much of any difference between
them and what I have which is Barchart . Tia .

Thank you much . I can see Esignal and barchart are fairly close . I'll have to
assume the other software is the problem .
Thanks again .
