Greetings, I have been trading today with Ninja Trader on a demo account with AMP as broker.
I closed out at 4:15 PM, but I think it was after market. The low of the YM at that time was 8480, but when I closed my long order at the market it shows closed at 8457, which is 23 points lower than the low. Does anybody know why this happened? Was it because of after market hours or something? Thank you. |

Thank you for your post. It could have been after market activity and the bid / ask was at this point. Please let me know if that happens again or seems incorrect.

OK yes, this makes sense. I trade off the chart using an ATM strategy to "reverse at stop". Is there a way to have it flatten and enter no more trades at 4:10 PM Eastern time? If so, how do I do that?

Yes, go to Tools --> Options --> Misc --> enter a "Time to flatten."
Then right click in your order entry window and select "Close at Time."

Ok I entered the "Time to Flatten" at 4:05 PM, I assume that is Eastern Time?
And I trade off the chart, and enter the ATM off the chart, so I was not able to do the "right click on order entry window and select 'close at time'". Can you explain that one? I just want to flatten all at 4:05 PM Eastern time. |

Time to flatten is based on your LOCAL PC TIME, NOT Eastern time.
Right click in Chart Trader and in the menu you will see "Close at time" at the top. Click to select this.

Got it. Everything is clear now, thank you for your help.
I have one other question to ask but will start a new thread for it. |
