Hi,

<grumble, grumble>

Is it just me or is IB having data feed problems,?

I seem to be having problems with the charts - I'm getting price action in the DOM, but my minute chart is not scrolling with new bars, instead my last bar just gets bigger and bigger but stays on the same time marker.

I have just subscribed, and downloaded the lastest versions of NT5 (005) and TWS (865 or something), so could I have done something wrong in NT?

I tried shutting down Ninja, deleted the .mdb and starting over but get the same results...this has been going on for a week or more. I know there have been holidays, but there have also been trading days..

</grumble, grumble>

cheers,
Antraman

I got it now...sorry I'm a bit slow. I don't read or listen to the *normal* daily news services.

I'm having similar issues can't get data between 12/14 and 12/29. I get this in the log file. This has been since Friday 12/29. This is on the Rusell 2000 index as well as ER futures

I checked with Interactive, they say servers are OK (Who knows)

I have forwarded to development.

Please confirm that you are using the latest NT 5.2.1000.5 and TWS 865.XX. Also, NT5 does not support historical daily data. Can you also confirm that the data you are requesting is of minute based interval?

Thanks

- make sure you only request minute data on NT5 or minute or daily data on NT6
- the gaps you experience could be conceptual issue, where NT has a hard time to fill gaps: Loading data in a fresh DB works, but filling gaps is a hard thing to achieve.
Next NT6 beta will support a new feature where you can force NT to reload data from a provider (Tool->Historical data->Reload)
- Apparently IB keeps adding/changing new notification message like the "Historical data request pacing violation". I saw it yesterday, but no longer see it now, but a different one. However, it just means that there is no more data available for download. I tweaked NT6 code to avoid subsequent logs on the same cause.

I was not aware to use ver865, after upgrading it still did not help. Requesting 30 days of 10 min data still has a gap between 12/14 and 12/29. I will try requesting Forex data from Gain to see if it is IB

Please see below: maybe you hit the wall due to a NT limitation. I suggest trying the next public NT6 beta (available in a few days).
