NT6 has an option to "Store real-time bar data" .....
1. Where is this data stored on my PC? 2. How much disk space will it consume? 3. Is there a way to limit the amount of data that is stored? 4. Is this data used for the NT6 Merge feature? Thanks. |

1. In the NinjaTrader.mdb file
2. I am not sure exactly what the storage specs are. This is how NT5 behaves, we just made this an option for NT6 since there is no need to store data in real-time to the local dbase if your provider supports historical data. Therefore, if your provider provides historical data, disable this feature and you will save a few background thread CPU cycles. 3. No 4. No

So when does it make sense to use this option? Is it need for the replay? |

It only makes sense to use this option if you are connected to a broker that does not provide access to historical data. Although replay uses historical data, it is saved differently and enabledvia the check box right underneath "Store real time data"
