Default Zen Fire Connection

ZF shows green = connection but I have no data feed i.e. the charts are blank. This is probably not a ZF problem as other members of my chat room have data feed. Any ideas?

Hello chrisp,

Can you please tell me what instrument and interval is selected in the chart.

Do you receive data in the Control Center for the same instrument?

Close all windows except the Control Center and create an ES 12-08 1 minute chart with a look back period of 15 days and check if the requested data is displayed.

Are you looking at a Daily chart by any chance? This is not supported by Zen-Fire as you can see here:

Default Data Feed OK

I switched on my machine this morning & the data feed is working: one exception: there is no data for 01/dec/08 on FESX.

I'd still like to know what went wrong & why I have a day's data missing if you have any ideas.

Thanks

Please right click in the FESX chart and select 'Reload Historical Data'. Check if data for 12/1 is reflected in the chart.

Default Yes

Good call, 1 minute charts now showing 01/dec data: exception is TPO indicator which indicates date & a profile about the size of a smiley.

I am not very familiar with this third party indicator. I suggest to remove and add the indicator and check if this will make a difference.

If not, I suggest to contact the vendor.

It seems reloading historical data (so historical data was added into the chart) caused the behavior of the indicator somehow. I am not very familiar with the indicator, so it is hard to tell what excatly happened and why.

Default The problem is back

I am connected to Zen Fire. Prices show in the Control Panel so data is arriving. But charts do not show. I have clicked Reload Historical Data but charts are still blank.

Does the chart remain blank when you open up a new chart?

Please tell me what instrument and interval is selected in the chart.

If you close all windows except the Control Center and open up a new chart, does it load the data?

I tried ES 1 minute as a new chart & the page was blank. I then closed NT. I can no longer open NT: I get the "there can only be 1 instance ..." notice.

Please open up the Windows Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + Delete).

Terminate all NinjaTrader.exe processes you see under the Processes-tab.

Start NinjaTrader and let me know if NinjaTrader will start.

Make sure you only have the Control Center opened and create a new chart.
