Hello,

Thank you for your post.

Having a greyed out "Zoom out" button means you are already zoomed out as far as possible.

To increase chart viewing area, try compressing the chart at the bottom, use a higher time frame(more ticks, minutes, etc), or to change y scaling:
  1. Add constant line indicators above, below to create max/min y scale
  2. Set "auto scale" to true in the indicator properties
  3. Set line colors to transparent (optional)

To compress/decompress, click and drag in either axis.

See this link as an example: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ingAChart.html

Hi I use Ctrl up arrow and Ctrl Down arrow to make the bars wider apart or closer together.
And Alt up arrow Alt down arrow to increase/decrease the width of the bars.
It kind of works like zoom out.
If only we could move up and down.

still would be nice to be able to zoom out , compressing the axis only goes so far .

NJ should really look at getting a zoom out function !

Default I agree

I agree with the previous posts, I think NT needs an "auto configure" option...

I say this because when markets get choppy or "off" the chart in front of me gets a bit "off"

Sometimes I am so into all I am dealing with in the trade I think that the support and resistance are "wide" and i take the trade... after looking at the chart later and wondering why I lost the trade I realize the chart "zoomed" and made it look more wide then it did previously..

I know this is a lazy opinion and I try to keep my charts in real depth by adjusting to changes in market to keep everything in perspective, but it would be really sweet if the charts kept the same "depth" all the time automaticly...

I don't know if I am knit picking or if this is even possible, but for me it is the only limitation in viewing live data during the day that NT has...

maybe there is a "auto" download script out there that I can upload to do this?

Thanks and good trading!

Hello tshirtdeal,

Thank you for your feedback. As far as I know there is no such a script available.

NinjaTrader 7 will be improved in regards to the display and navigation of our charts.

Hello price777999,

Thank you for your reply.

1.) NinjaTrader 7 will also include a zoom-out function.

2.) NinjaTrader 7 is currently in it's beta program. Historically our beta programs have lasted approximately 3 months. We do not believe that there is anything with version 7 that would change this.
