Continuous Daily Charts

I've read most of the posts on charting and it looks like Zen doesn't support daily bar charts. To me this is unacceptable. How hard is it to provide this capability?

Our choices are to create "Rube Goldberg" charts using 440 min "day" for the ES for example, pay for data that provides this such as DTNIQ, or move to a trading platform that provides the capability. This may seem like a small deal, but it's frustrating.

I like Ninja/Zen but if I'm paying for the platform, I may as well trade from a platform that provides ALL of the tools and capabilities that I need such as TradeNavigator from Genesis or Open eCry which is a FREE PLATFORM, provides the DOM ladder, is fast and provides DAILY CHARTS, along with the tick and minute charting.

At the end of the day, we are all business people and having good business tools and managing costs are a few keys to ultimate success. Not having, or having to pay another vendor for, daily charts does not make sense to me. Zen needs to get on the ball and provide this.

You can use a 1440 minute chart to substitute for daily chart as well.

I suggest contacting ZenFire and voicing your concerns to them as well.

I agree. Not having Daily Bars and having to "create" them by default is a little strange, but if it works the same, I'll give it a try until ZenFire provides the data.

Thanks for the heads up, 4068. I take my rants to them and will report back what I find... Looks like they are a unit of my broker, Mirus. Never heard that before...

I'm also going to look into paying $25/mo for Open eCry and trading through Mirus (OEC is free if you trade through them, but it looks like they've been acquired by Options Express).
