Hi
I have a NT free platform and I'm trying to set up a datafeed connection with my Interactive Brokers account. I did input my username and pwd, Host name 127.0.0.1 (as it was set already), Log Level Detail, Port 7496, Client ID 0. When I try to connect it, I get the message: "Login failed: IB.Adapter.StartTws: can't find registry key 'Trader Workstation'. Can you help please? Thank you |

Please try manually logging into TWS and then connecting NinjaTrader.
Also please make sure you are using TWS version 877 with the current release of NinjaTrader. You can download this version from the Help Guide listed below: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm

I got the IB connection working now.
When I backtest a model now, I always get a message saying that I exceeded the historical requests from IB. I guess I need to use another provider for historical data. Before I was using Gain and NT servers for historical data, but apparently this option is not available with the IB connection. How can I do to use the IB connection/prices with the historical database of NT? Thank you |

You can just connect to the Gain feed you used to use for your backtest.
The backtest should run off your stored data but I think the error you are getting from IB is disrupting this. Try your Gain connection and see if the test will run on your stored data.

Another issue: with both datafeeds (Gain and IB) I cannot pull Daily charts, but just Intraday ones.
How can I overcome this? Thank you |

IB offers daily data for live account customers only and Gain does not offer Historical Daily data.
You would need to connect to a provider who offered historical daily data to chart/test daily data. If you have a live account with IB you should be able to Chart/test on this data unless you get the error listed above (exceed historical data request). Make sure you do not have multiple workspaces open as this can trigger the historical data error as well. Historical data offered by each available datafeed: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ricalData.html
